From time to time the Foundation is in receipt of gifts that are tied to specific areas of Research. When this occurs, funds are either channelled through appropriate grant programs, or a special call may be put out inviting submissions.
The RPH Research Foundation has received a gift of $250,000 that is specifically tied to cardiovascular research. This gift has been made in honour of the late Dr Neil Cumpston, the former Head of Cardiology at RPH, and recognises his contribution to the cardiovascular field.
We therefore invite Expressions of Interest for research projects in cardiovascular research within the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) network.
To qualify you must be an Early Career Researcher (≤ 7 years since the completion of the highest degree, subject to career disruption) or a Mid-Career Researcher (within 8-15 years since the completion of the highest relevant degree, subject to career disruption).
The award may be split between 2 or more applicants to a maximum of $250,000. No single submission over the amount available to disperse will be considered.
