Every year, 80,000 patients are admitted to the Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department (ED).Patients arrive in a critical condition for a variety of reasons from heart attacks to traumatic injuries. The Emergency Department is always a hive of activity with patients needing urgent care.
No one starts their day expecting they will need to attend the ED. Yet most people will, at least once in their lifetime, enter the emergency department and put their lives into the hands of an emergency physician, like Professor Daniel Fatovich.
