Unveiled by CEO Cate Cassarchis and endorsed by the Foundation’s Board, the plan takes effect on 01 July 2025. It outlines an ambitious pathway to support Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) by funding world-class research and innovation, while staying true to the original purpose behind the Foundation’s creation to support RPH as a tertiary hospital.
With a refined Vision and Mission, the strategy is built on four key pillars:
- Advancing innovation and research into critical areas for the WA population
- Supporting impactful research and its translation into our hospitals
- Building sustainable research and healthcare capacity
- Fostering community engagement and increased philanthropic support to our hospitals.
Our focus is to ensure that patients across RPH and EMHS have access to the highest standard of care, driven by cutting-edge research and innovation.
We remain committed to supporting investigations into the causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness, as well as improving medical services that contribute to the long-term health and wellbeing of the West Australian community.
The full Strategic Plan will be published on the Foundation’s website from 01 July 2025.
