In 2020 the RPH Research Foundation launched its inaugural Innovation and Impact grant program.
The program was created to support Mid-Career and Senior researchers who are translating novel ideas into healthcare innovations that could make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our community.
This program was highly competitive and attracted many innovative ideas. In 2020, the Foundation announced the inaugural winners Dr Alan Kop and Dr Andrew Ford.
They were awarded a grant valued up to $200,000 per year for up to three years to give these forward thinkers the freedom to investigate innovative ideas that could be game changers for healthcare providers and their patients.
Dr Kop and Dr Ford’s projects challenge existing paradigms and explore different paths that dare to veer from the current lines of investigation.
