Give the gift of health this Christmas

Your gift this Christmas supports lifesaving research.

Hypertension is the biggest killer globally, accounting for more than 10 million deaths every year.

Research is the key to helping people with high blood pressure find new treatments and improve their quality of life.

That is why here at RPH Research Foundation we help fund the Dobney Hypertension Centre (DHC). Leading the team is world-renowned hypertension specialist Professor Markus Schlaich.

Thanks to your past support, Professor Schlaich and his team have conducted a range of clinical trials that test new treatments and medications to help save lives.

Your donations this holiday season help us fund critical clinical trials. Clinical trials make a real difference to WA patients but we need your help to keep funding this important research.

Robertus' Story

In 2007, Robertus discovered he had high blood pressure and began medication. For years, he tried numerous treatments, but nothing effectively managed his blood pressure, and side effects like lethargy, nausea, and vision problems worsened.

In 2023, he was referred for a denervation procedure at Royal Perth Hospital, a new treatment targeting kidney nerves to lower blood pressure.

Since the procedure, Robertus' blood pressure has gone down significantly, and his quality of life has drastically improved.
