New Grant Round Providing $3.6 Million in Funding Announced

Today at the Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund Open Day, RPH Research Foundation’s 2024 Research Innovation and Impact Grants were launched as part of the Western Australian Government’s Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund's Co-Funding Partnerships Program.

The RPH Research Foundation secured matched funding for the 2024 Research Innovation and Impact Grants (RIIG) through the FHRI Fund’s Co-Funding Partnerships Program. The FHRI Fund has awarded $1,800,000 through the Co-FPP as a co-contribution for the Research Innovation and Impact Grant Program. RPH Research Foundation will also contribute $1,800,000 with a further $180,000 non-cash support over three years.

The 2024 Research Innovation and Impact Grants aims to fund new research projects that challenge the existing paradigms. These grants allow researchers to follow leading observations and investigate novel ideas to improve clinical practice.

With matched funding from the FHRI Fund, there will be a total of $3.6 million available for novel projects that aim to improve the health and prosperity of all Western Australians.

This grant program supports mid-career and senior researchers who are translating their ideas into healthcare innovations that could lead to a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. The research must be undertaken in Western Australia and be of direct benefit to the WA community.

Applicants can seek up to $1,200,000 in funding for projects spanning three years.
