RPH Research Foundation funding is being used to help fund ground-breaking research at the Ear Science Institute of Australia. The “HearCog” trial is a two-year randomised control trial of hearing loss and dementia and is now well underway.

At the end of 2023, members of the Royal Perth Hospital Nursing Research Foundation (NRF) voted unanimously to wind up and join the RPH Research Foundation.

The Professor Lyn Beazley AO Emerging Leader Award aims to recognise and support early career researchers who have demonstrated exceptional promise and dedication in their scientific or clinical research endeavours.

On Friday 27 October, the RPH Research Foundation held its annual Research Symposium and Awards Day at the Westin to recognise and celebrate some of the researchers the Foundation funds.

Professors Leon Flicker and Dawn Bessarab, from UWA Medical School, and Dr Dona Jayakody, from Ear Science Institute Australia and RPH Research Foundation Career Advancement Fellow, were awarded $2.1 million under the Medical Research Future Fund Indigenous Health Research Grant scheme in October 2023.

On Wednesday 24 May, supporters, researchers, and Board members joined RPH Research Foundation at the City of Perth Library to celebrate 40 years of funding health research in Western Australia.

The RPH Research Foundation is proud to announce the successful participation of its dedicated supporters and staff in the HBF Run for a Reason, held on Sunday May 21 2023. Through their energetic efforts and commitment to supporting medical research, the Foundation raised an impressive $3510 while actively engaging with the community.
