Prestigious RT Hall Prize is awarded to Professor Gerald Watts

Every year the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) presents the R T Hall Prize. The RT Hall Prize is the most prestigious research award of CSANZ and recognises the achievements of senior and established investigators. This year, Professor Gerald Watts has been awarded the Prize at the 70th Annual Scientific Meeting of CSANZ last month.

The RT Hall Prize is the most prestigious research award of CSANZ and recognises the achievements of senior and established investigators.

This year, Professor Gerald Watts has been awarded the Prize at the 70th Annual Scientific Meeting of CSANZ last month.

Professor Gerald Watts is the Winthrop Professor of Cardiometabolic and Internal Medicine at the University of Western Australia and Senior Consultant Physician at the Royal Perth Hospital.

CSANZ awarded Professor Watts the prize in recognition of his long-term commitment to research and dedication to improving patient care.

Over the course of the last 25 years, Professor Watts has established a globally recognised translational research program in Perth, which has extended his fundamental interest in dyslipidaemia and diabetes to developing world-class models in health service delivery.
