The Springboard Plus program aims to fund new or existing research projects successfully acquitted under the previous ‘Springboard 2019’ round. These grants allow researchers to follow leading observations and investigation of novel ideas into healthcare research.
This program supports Early and Mid-Career researchers who are translating their ideas into clinical practice that could lead to a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our community.
The inaugural Springboard plus grant round was opened on 25 March 2022. The RPH Research Foundation planned to award five grants up to $30,000 per year for a maximum two years. In addition, in partnership with Edith Cowan University (ECU), one additional grant of equal value was available to support innovative medical research between East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS)/Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and ECU.
The Foundation will also provide statistical support (including statistical analysis, assistance with interpretation of results and preparation of a manuscript) from its own team of biostatisticians to successful applicants, if required.
Due to the high level of applications on 30 June 2022, RPH Research Foundation announced that 11 research projects would receive Springboard Plus Grants. Click here for more details on the current Springboard Plus recipients.
The 2022 Springboard Plus Guidelines and Conditions set out details around eligibility, submission details, assessment criteria, and conditions of grant.
Applications have now closed for the 2022 grant round and Springboard Plus is not currently accepting applications.
