Research Overview
"Familial" means it runs in families and "hypercholesterolaemia" means high blood cholesterol. Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) is the most common and serious form of inherited high cholesterol. Owing to high cholesterol levels from birth, individuals with FH are at very high-risk of early heart disease.
Dr Pang's vision is to improve the care of all patients with FH, by providing practical knowledge that can be directly translated, transferred and utilised to improve models of care, as well as impact on service planning, health policy and implementation practice. Her research aims to integrate better care for families with FH and to foster communities of practice to further advance knowledge.
