Research Overview

Professor Anne-Marie Hill’s research focuses on improving older people’s health and well-being. Professor Hill is a Physiotherapist who holds an NHMRC EL2 Investigator (2020-25) grant investigating falls prevention and was previously awarded an NHMRC early career fellowship also for fall prevention (2012-15). Professor Hill has obtained over $14M in research funding and has over 30 years clinical experience working with older people. Professor Hill also has a strong focus on working with doctoral and post-doctoral researchers on her team with a focus on improving Allied Health research capacity in ageing, that translates into healthy outcomes for older people in WA. She has conducted large clinical trials in hospital, community and residential care settings and collaborates with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers and communities focusing on sustainable physical activity programs for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in WA.
