Profile

Professor Daniel Fatovich is a senior emergency physician and clinical researcher at the Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department with over 30 years of experience in designing and conducting clinical trials in Emergency Medicine. Professor Fatovich is also Head of the Centre for Clinical Research in Emergency Medicine which has a focus on patient-orientated outcomes.

Professor Fatovich is also the Director of Research for East Metropolitan Health Service and provides strategic advice and leadership including being a board member for the RPH Research Foundation and chairing the EMHS Research Advisory Committee. 

He is an executive member of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Research Committee and the Clinical Trials Network and has received $23m in competitive grant funding.

In 2020, he was the Ministerial adviser for the passage of the Guardianship and Administration (Medical Research) Act 2020. In 2017-18, he was deputy chair of the WA Methamphetamine Taskforce. Expertscape ranks him in the top <1% globally for expertise in Emergency Medicine, and he is on the international List of Industry Independent Experts.
